ISL is supervised:

• on the one hand by a supervisory board which is in charge of the strategic guidelines and the general control of ISL activities.
  The supervisory board is composed of three governmental representatives of each nation. They are assisted by a scientific advisory board.
• The joint direction of ISL consists of two directors, a German and a French director.
