At the earliest possible date, we are looking for an Engineer (design and development) (f/m/d) for our group “electromagnetic acceleration”. A highly motivated team of about 15 colleagues working in an innovative research environment awaits you.
Your new tasks and responsibilities – challenging and future-oriented:
- Active participation in several projects along with a multidisciplinary team in the area of applied high-power pulse technology including electromagnetic acceleration and high-power microwaves
- Development of mechanical components, design and implementation
- Work in coordination with our workshops
- Choosing suppliers and negotiating costs in case of external production
- Set-up and development of test facilities
- Participation in experiments and documentation
- Co-supervision of interns
Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:
- Master’s degree preferably in the following fields: mechanical engineering and mechatronics
- Experience in designing and fabricating mechanical parts
- You are a talented organizer and are able to work in a team and in an interdisciplinary context.
- A good level of written and spoken German and/or French
