For immediate placement, we are currently looking for a Engineer for electromagnetic acceleration (m/f/d).

 

Your new tasks and responsibilities - challenging and future-oriented:

  • Responsible for shot trials with ISL’s electromagnetic accelerators
  • Responsible for the supervision of the technical staff, for the planning of tests, data processing, technical upgrades and facility maintenance
  • Design simulation models of launchers according to the tests conducted
  • Prepare and carry out experiments in the area of electromagnetic launchers; scientific papers; prepare government and third-party contracts; participate in conferences
  • Technical support for trainees and PhD students
  • Study and develop electronic/electric power components (control circuits, power circuits, data transmission, etc.) which may contain mechanical parts
  • Develop routine/script in Labview for data processing and reading
  • Joint development of mechanical devices using DAO Pro Engineer

 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:

  • Master’s degree or engineering degree, specialised in electrical engineering, in particular power electronics or pulsed power, mechatronics
  • Good technological knowledge in some of the following areas:
    • Pulsed power
    • High voltage/high current generators
    • Power electronics
    • Instrumentation for electric and electronic measuring
  • Experience in mechanical engineering preferred: conception and design (Pro Engineer)
  • Good communication skills. You like to work in a team and to take initiatives. You are an effective organiser, easily adapting to new situations.
  • Good command of French and German
