For immediate placement, we are currently looking for a Research scientist in the field of crystallization processes of explosives (m/f/d).

 

Your new tasks and responsibilities - challenging and future-oriented:

  • Develop, implement and improve batch crystallization processes for explosive particles (define the conditions to control defects in order to adjust sensitivity levels)
  • Develop and implement processes / equipment for continuous production of explosive particles
  • Develop and implement innovative technologies for in situ observation of the quality of crystals and interfaces during crystal growth
  • Characterize the physico-chemical properties of crystals and their surfaces
  • Manufacture explosive formulations using binders and characterize their mechanical properties
  • Contribute to the preparation of detonic tests to assess the performances of the produced explosives
  • Take part in the processes intended to guarantee the pyrotechnical safety of these activities
  • Show great commitment in developing contract activities with industrial companies in the field of armament

 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:

  • Hold a PhD in chemistry, process chemistry or chemical engineering
  • A first work experience is not required but will be considered as an advantage
  • Knowledge in the following areas is required:
    • Process engineering
    • Physico-chemical characterization
  • Good communication skills. You like to work in a team and to take the initiative. You are an effective organizer, and you adapt easily to new situations.
  • A good command of English
