For immediate placement, we are currently looking for a Combustion research Engineer (m/f/d).

 

Your new tasks and responsibilities - challenging and future-oriented:

  • Carrying out experimental studies on the combustion of propulsion powders
  • Applying and developing new analysis techniques (diagnosis, etc.)
  • Analysing and interpreting the experimental results in order to develop new ignition and combustion models
  • Carrying out numerical simulations of combustion processes with up-to-date tools and comparing them to experimental results in order to validate the simulation models
  • Conducting scientific research in cooperation with governmental agencies and defense industry partners
  • Conducting scientific research especially in the field of metrology within the framework of French third party contracts
  • Coordinating the preparation of tests, especially regarding the different fields of activities involved in the studies
  • Monitoring changes and progresses in the experimental techniques for the activities of your scientific field
  • Taking part in writing ESP-documents about pyrotechnic safety for the group’s laboratories

 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:

  • Engineering degree in “Energetics and propulsion” or Master’s degree with specialization in energetics and combustion
  • Knowledge of mechanics would be appreciated
  • Work experience would be considered as an advantage
  • Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team, initiative, organisational skills and adaptability,
  • Very good command of English. Good command of French and/or German would be considered as an advantage but is not mandatory
