We are looking for an Embedded System Software Engineer (m/w/d) to work in our scientific group STC (Sensors, Telemetry and Communication). The group STC works on the development of miniaturised sensor and high-frequency electronics for free flight data transmission of missiles with special array architectures for interference-free reception of GNSS-signals (anti-jamming).

 

Your new tasks and responsibilities - challenging and future-oriented:

  • In Software and Programming :
    • Development, design and programming of Embedded Systems (ARM) for real-time data processing (C/C++)
    • Development and implementation of signal processing algorithms (digital filter, FFT, error correction procedures, …) for FPGAs (Verilog, VHDL)
  • Digital technologies:
    • Development, planning and implementation of digital circuits with connection to different sensors (inertial sensors, GNSS, magnetic field, temperature, pressure…)
    • Development of the required test and verification protocols, as well as measurement methods to check the circuits and their proper function

 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications or similar discipline
  • Advanced skills in C/C++, Python, Verilog, VHDL
  • Experience in dealing with CAD- Software (e.g. Altium, Eagle, PSpice, ...) programming environments (e.g. Qt, VScode, Vivado, Vitis, ...)
  • Experience with digital circuit design and embedded systems
  • Basics of antenna technology / telecommunications
  • Ability to communicate, to work efficiently as part of a team and to enter into interdisciplinary cooperation. You are an effective organiser, easily adapting to new situations.
  • Excellent in English; basic command of German and French would be an advantage
