For immediate placement, we are currently looking for a Research and development engineer in the field of electro-optic THz technology (m/f).

 
Your new tasks and responsibilities – challenging and future-oriented:

  • Setting up of the THz test benches and carrying out experimental measurements
  • Developing a specific software to operate laboratory devices,
  • Designing simple mechanical components
  • Supervising the work of technicians, workers and trainees
  • Involvement in the drafting of technical and scientific documents
  • Conducting technical documentary research (internet, scientific literature)

 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:

  • Engineer degree / Master in physics, photonics or an equivalent degree

 

Knowledge and experience on the following fields would be appreciated:

  • Knowledge and experience in the following fields: experimental techniques for THz/photonics software to operate scientific devices (for example: LabVIEW)
  • Professional skills in electrical engineering, spectroscopy and signal processing would be highly appreciated

 

Other skills:

  • Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team, initiative, organisational skills and adaptability,
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of French or German would be appreciated.

 

We propose to employ you on a fixed-term contract for five years with possibility of renewal.
