On september 14 and 15, 2015 the French German research institute will participate at the 13th sommer university of the French Defense sector. This annual meeting will gather main actors of the French defense landscape: politicians, military staff, representatives of the main defense industries and journalists.
This year the sommer university will take place in Strasbourg and the principal subject will be “intelligence” and the French-German dialogue. ISL as French-German research institute has therefore a special position and will be present on two locations and present the latest innovations such as:

- Portable Eye-Safe Laser Imaging System (PELIS)
- Sniper detection (IMOTEP)
- Drone detection
- Gun-Launched Observation Micro Air Vehicle (GLMAV)
- Bio-inspired Smart Autonomous Visual Event Detector (B-SAVED)
- Lighter and more resistant protection materials
- Acoustic protection devices for soldiers
