ISL organises a workshop on "Battlefield Acoustics" which will take place at ISL in Saint-Louis  on the 11 and 12 october 2016 . The Workshop is coordinated by the French and German Armament Departments “Direction Générale de l’Armement” (DGA) and the “Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nut-zung der Bundeswehr” (BAAINBw) 

The following Topics will be treated: 

• Acoustic environment on the battlefield:
• Hearing protection, audio communication and situational awareness:
• Mechanisms of blast injuries and protective equipment
• Acoustic detection of threats
