On the common initiative of the French and German Ministery of Defence and for 60 years now, ISL, the French-German Research Institute for Defence of Saint-Louis, is preparing the future of land armament, to offer the best equipment to Soldiers, Special Forces,  and Security agents.

ISL is developping innovations and offers its expertise to:

- protect soldiers at the frontline facing adverse sources of disruptive or destructive energy (by detecting adverse weapons, mitigating their effects, by protecting soldiers and vehicles from the residual effects of adverse weaponry. 

- deliver disruptive or distructive energy to the targets with optimal precision (by minimising collateral dammages) and at long standoff distance in order to protect our own forces.

ISL is paying special attention to cost effectivement during the whole life cycle of the equipment.
