For immediate placement, we are currently looking for a Engineer in mechatronics for laser sources development (all genders).

 

Your new tasks and responsibilities - challenging and future-oriented:

  • Developing, steering and automating optical benches into LabView or Python
  • Validating their functioning during experiments
  • Conducting experiments with the developed laser test benches
  • Acquiring, implementing, developing and ensuring the maintenance of tools and devices essential to the experimental needs. analysing results by means of appropriate software
  • Implementing sensors, ensuring the controlling and signal processing
  • Developing simple steering and control electronics.
  • Carrying out optomechanical design for optical, optronic and laser needs, notably for optical fibres and fibre lasers
  • Analysing, validating and tracking results
  • Writing test reports, describing the optical benches, drafting user manuals when working on the bench automation
  • Supervising interns

 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:

  • You hold an engineer’s degree or Master with a specialisation in mechatronics or optics
  • You have knowledge in the following areas:
    • Python and/or LabView programming
    • Optics
    • Sensors, controlling and signal processing
    • Steering and control electronics
    • Mechanical design
  • Good communication skills: You like to work in a team, take initiatives, you are a good organiser adapting easily to new situations
  • Very good command of English. A good command of French or German would be an advantage
