For immediate placement, we are currently looking for a RF and software radio electronics engineer (all genders).

Our STC research group (working on sensors, telemetry, communication) is in charge of developing electronic instrumentation for aerial vehicles e.g. projectiles, loitering munition or drones. The group’s activities include the following topics:

  • Design, integration and g-hardening of communication systems, sensors and associated electronics
  • Development of anti-jamming GNSS systems
  • Conception of new sensors for detection, navigation and guidance applications
  • Development of embedded electronic warfare devices for projectiles

These studies include both experimental works and numerical simulations.

 

Your new tasks and responsibilities - challenging and future-oriented:

  • Taking part in the development of embedded electronic systems for two-way ground-to-air or air-to-air telecommunication
  • Taking part in the material and software development of antenna arrays and microwave circuits systems
  • Implementing algorithms developed on target and on FPGA/SoC if possible
  • Approving systems developed in laboratory and then on the field and in flight

 

Your qualifications – solid and appropriate:

  • Engineering or master degree in electronics specialized in telecommunication or equivalent degree, first professional experience in this industry would be an advantage (including internship and work-study contract)
  • Knowledge in RF/microwave electronics, signal processing applied to digital communications and basic knowledge in array processing is required
  • First-hand experience in printed circuit board conception and in FPGA development
  • Knowledge about software radio/SDR technology would be an advantage
  • Skills in programming (C++/Python, VHDL), embedded systems and Linux
  • Good organizational skills, you like to work in a multinational environment and prospects of interdisciplinary cooperation do not inconvenience you
  • Very good command of English
